前亞洲電視攝影師李東杰先生於今晨（4月22日）7時42分於威爾斯親王醫院逝世，終年54歲。
李先生於2008年在台灣高雄市採訪時任國民黨黨主席馬英九協助立委候選人拉票時，不幸跌傷重創腦部致四肢癱瘓。
香港攝影記者協會對此表示沉痛哀悼，向其家人致以深切慰問。
The Hong Kong Press Photographers Association (HKPPA) extends their deepest and most sincere condolances to the family of former Asia Television (ATV) cameraman Mr. Ricky Li Tung-kit, who passed away at age 54 early this morning (Friday, April 22, 2016) at 7:42 a.m. at Prince of Wales Hospital.
Mr. Li fell from a press bus and hit his head on the ground when covering then-Taiwanese presidential candidate Ma Ying-jeou’s campaign for a candidate in Kaosiung, Taiwan, in 2008. Mr. Li suffered from paralysis after the incident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all who loved him.
